Why Tallawah:
Tallawah comes from a Jamaican saying [Wi lickle but wi Tallawah] that is used to describe our country.
I was born and raised in Jamaica and have always identified with Tallawah.
It means although we are small, we are very strong-willed, fearless and not to be underestimated or taken lightly.
According to Jamaicans.com the size of Jamaica is 4,411 square miles. This makes it slightly smaller than the state of Connecticut.
Jamaica and Jamaicans are well known worldwide because of reggae music, Bob Marley, our beautiful beaches, track and field and the fastest man in the world, Usain Bolt to name a few.
I have always identified with Tallawah. I am barely 5 feet 3 inches and petite.
I may be small; however, I have the heart of a lioness [I am a Leo] and I work very hard to achieve my goals.
We all can be Tallawah/ Strong to go after the life we want to live.
Why Human:
We all wear several hats; daughter, wife, mom, woman, sister, friend, our job/career titles that make us HUMAN…We change, evolve, and make mistakes because we are HUMAN…
Human encompasses all that I am and all that you are.
When you combine Tallawah and Human you have a strong individual.

Tallawah Human:
I was a frustrated career mother for several years. I didn’t even realize the cause of my discontent and frustration.
I stepped away from my career in March 2017 and had the opportunity to take some time and figure out my next steps.
During my time of self-reflection and development, I realized how unhappy I was.
I was struggling to have a career and still be the best mom to my two daughters.
I Wanted to Have a Career, I enjoy and be the Best Mom for my daughters.
Through my journey of self-discovery, I realized I was not alone. They’re so many women struggling to find their “balance”, or as I like to say, their Rhythm. They want to have a career and be a great mom.
And this is how Tallawah Human was formed.
