The determination of a career woman turned career mother who wanted to succeed in both her career and motherhood ignited the fire that led to the creation of the Rockstar Career Moms Podcast.
After years of pushing and fighting to succeed as a working mother, our host, Yamiek Anthony, found herself lost, confused, and stuck after making a move she believed would finally resolve her frustrations as a working mother.
Perplexed by the conundrum of how to truly have a successful career and be the mother she felt called to be, she took a courageous step: to bet on herself and create the working mom life she truly needed.
Leveraging her education, professional experience, and track record of success in the recruiting, higher education, and career services industries, Yamiek founded Rockstar Career Moms in 2018. Now, in 2025, she launches the Rockstar Career Moms Podcast—a powerful tool to support, empower, and advocate for working mothers.

When we support working mothers, we’re not just helping the women; we’re supporting their children, who are our future.
It’s pretty unbelievable that, in 2025, there’s still such a lack of awareness about the importance of supporting working mothers, considering that women have been increasingly participating in the workforce for centuries.
